          Yesterday evening we had the meeting, as we always do on every Wednesday. The meeting started at 18:00 and after few minutes the bar was full of Tandem lovers. The spoken languages were mainly English, Polish, German, Italian and some Spanish.

Larisa’s Birthday Party

Larisa’s Birthday

Here we are, members and volunteers, all together to celebrate. Our EVS Larisa from Ukraine has her birthday on 22^nd of September, she just turned her “18”.  On Monday we all celebrated her birthday, but this time as polish tradition asks it J. We organized a surprise birthday party, and we all together sang happy birthday but this time with a tiny difference, we sang:

Sto lat! Sto lat!
Niech zyje, zyje nam.
Sto lat! Sto lat!
Niech zyje, zyje nam.
Jeszcze raz! Jeszcze raz! Niech zyje, zyje nam.
Niech zyje nam. 

We would like to thank Kasia and Ola for their willing work and help to organize this birthday party.

Tandem Meeting, Wednesday 18th of September 2013

On Wednesday 18^th of September Polites Association organized Tandem Meeting. This is one of weekly activities organized in order to create a platform, which gives the locals and foreigners the possibility to meet new people, practice different languages, and to participate in events going on in Szczecin.

At our last meeting we had participants from different countries, such as: Poland, Germany, Hungary, Ukraine, Egypt and Albania. The spoken languages were mainly English, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish.

Moreover, the characteristic for this meeting was, people switch the tables, in order to talk and meet more people. In this case discussion topics were diverse and matchless.

Looking forward to meeting you next time at the same place.
